Schools without fear
A national conversation about bullying in Nigerian schools, and the early interventions that keep it from hardening into violence.
In April 2026, under Dr Udo's direction, International Alert Nigeria convened a Stakeholder Consultative Dialogue on Anti-Bullying in Nigerian Schools in Abuja. Stakeholders pressed for early intervention and stronger enforcement, pairing school-level reporting mechanisms with Youth Peace Clubs that give students themselves a role in keeping their schools safe.
“It is important to note that bullying is not confined to schools; it occurs across all spheres of society: sports, workplaces, and even in leadership spaces.”
The line is his, and it carries the through-line of his career: that what children learn about power and dignity in a classroom is what they carry into every room after it.
